There’s always something happening nearby when you live at The Cryder House in Queens, New York. From relaxing sunsets to NYC Restaurant Week and the Queens Night Market, here’s a look at just some of the things happening in Queens this August that you won’t want to miss.

Sun Sets at The Met

At The Cryder House, we know a little something about beautiful sunsets. Having the sunset each evening over the Throgs Neck Bridge, Little Bay and the East River, we’re a community that certainly enjoys a beautiful view. 

Running from Friday and Saturday evenings, 5:30-8:30 p.m., The Metropolitan Museum of Art is celebrating dusk with a weekly music series, Sun Sets. The series features DJs from NYC and around the world, celebrating a diversity of rhythms, perspectives and countries of origin.  Learn more about Sun Sets at the Met.

NYC Restaurant Week Continues

If you haven’t already booked a table at one of New York City’s restaurants for Summer Restaurant Week 2022, books are available through August 21. 

While prices in 2021 were $125 for a Signature Dining Experience, last winter’s restaurant week prices ran from $29 to $59 for two-course lunch or dinner bookings. Summer 2022 prices are set at $30, $45 and $60. Learn more and find a restaurant for NYC Summer Restaurant Week 2022.

The Queens Night Market returns

Foodies, rejoice! The Queens Night Market has returned and runs every Saturday from 5 p.m. to midnight through October 30, 2022. Head over to Flushing Meadows Corona Park to taste food from around the world. From Indian tandoori kebabs to Hong Kong noodles to Jerk Chicken. Even better? Every dish is capped at $6 so you have room to sample as many delicious dishes as you can.
